(Phoenix, Arizona) Arizona Opera brings one of the biggest names from the operatic stage, Deborah Voigt, to headline its 2015 Gala, "Big Date Night". Coming on the heels of the January 27th world-wide release of her new book, Call Me Debbie - True Confessions of A Down to Earth Diva (HarperCollins), Ms. Voigt will arrive in Phoenix to join General Director Ryan Taylor and leading ladies from the 2015/16 Season to celebrate with an all-out Valentine's Day Gala, tonight, February 14, 2015 at the Bentley Gallery at 215 E. Grant Street in Phoenix. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by a plated 3-course dinner, live performances and dancing. Ms. Voigt will be performing a selection of arias and songs accompanied by Allen Perriello, Arizona Opera's Head of Music Staff, with additional performances by the leading ladies of the 2015/16 Season. Varying sponsorships and price points are available, with attendees receiving a signed copy of Ms. Voigt's new book. Ms. Voigt is the first Arizona Opera Ambassador, a group of artists, personalities and leaders from around the world who celebrate and recognize the initiatives of Arizona Opera. Ms. Voigt kicked off the Arizona Opera's 2014/15 Season in October, congratulating the organization for its successful Million Dollar May, its Hispanic Heritage Festival and the AZ Bold launch and she comes to Phoenix to celebrate Arizona Opera's successes at the Gala.
About Deborah Voigt:

A Chicago native raised in southern California, Deborah Voigt is recognized as one of the world's most versatile singers and one of music's most endearing personalities. Having made her name as a leading dramatic soprano, internationally revered for her performances in the operas of Wagner, Strauss and others, she is also an active recitalist and performer of Broadway standards and popular songs. Voigt has an extensive discography, and her masterclasses are enthusiastically received. She appears regularly - as both performer and host - in the Met's Live in HD series, which is transmitted live to movie theaters around the world.
