Internationally acclaimed tap dance virtuoso Savion Glover will be returning to New York City's Joyce Theater (175 Eighth Avenue) for a limited run of his new show, Savion Glover's OM this June. Performances begin Tuesday, June 24 and run through Sunday, July 12. Tickets start at $10. www.SavionGloverProductions.com.

Savion Glover's OM is an interdisciplinary exploration of the spirituality of the dance using time and its infinite essence. Using traditional rhythms and content from his mentor's legacy, Mr. Glover combines constant expansion of traditional tap, sound grooves, and innovative percussive passages giving the audience a transformative journey of the spirit to its ultimate source: the soul.

Says Mr. Glover: "Because of my relationship to the dance and how it relates to spirituality, I'm hoping through this production of OM, the audience will understand more the importance of the divine - ONE."

Savion Glover's OM plays Tuesday & Wednesday at 7:30PM; Thursday & Friday at 8PM; Saturday at 2PM and 8PM; Sunday at 2PM and 7:30PM (No performance on July 4).

For nearly three decades, Savion Glover has been amazing and enthralling global audiences with his inimitable tap style. Mr. Glover first performed on Broadway in 1985 at age 12, and has since displayed his talents as performer and choreographer for both stage and screen. At age 15, he became one of the youngest Best Actor (Musical) Tony nominees ever for his performance in Black and Blue. He received the 1996 Tony Award for Best Choreography for his work in Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, a show that he starred in and co-created with George C. Wolfe. Recently, he choreographed and performed the role of Mumble in the wildly popular animated film, Happy Feet.

Mr. Glover is the founder of the HooFeRzCLuB School for Tap in Newark, New Jersey. The school's mission is to impart on its students the history and theory of tap dance, while opening the doors to new styles of personal artistic expression through tap. Gregory Hines, dance legend and former mentor to Mr. Glover, described Savion as "possibly the best tap dancer that ever lived."

The mission of The Joyce Theater Foundation is to serve and support the art of dance and choreography, promote the richness and variety of the art form in its fullest expression, and enhance the public interest in, and appreciation of, dance and the allied arts of music, design, and theater.
