Recent Drama Centre grad Morfydd Clark is in high demand these days.

According to the Daily Mail, the actress will jump straight from ROMEO AND JULIET at Sheffield this month into Josie Rourke's production of LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES. The play runs at the Donmar Warehouse from December 11, 2015 to February 13, 2016.

Christopher Hampton adapted LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES from Pierre Choderlos de Laclos' 1782 novel of the same name. It tells the story of the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, "rivals who use sex as a weapon of humiliation and degradation, all the while enjoying their cruel games."

Clark will play 'Cecile de Volanges' alongside a cast featuring Michelle Dockery, Dominic West, Janet McTeer, Una Stubbs and Edward Holcroft.

LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES, originally starring Alan Rickman and Lindsay Duncan, premiered with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the '80s before transferring to Broadway. It was adapted for the big screen in 1988 (Uma Thurman played Clark's role -- Cecile -- in the film). Roundabout Theatre Company produced a revival in New York in 2008.

Clark recently ended a run in Gary Owen's new play VIOLENCE AND SON at the Royal Court upstairs and will take the stage in ROMEO AND JULIET at Sheffield this month. She also appeared on in the BBC movie A POET IN NEW YORK and on the big screen in THE FALLING. Her upcoming film projects include LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES.
