Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present additional staged readings next month of two musicals in development for upcoming full productions. First up will be Gotta Getta Girl, a 1930's musical romp with book and lyrics by Peter Charles Morris and music by David Caldwell, directed by Phillip George (Forbidden Broadway) with musical direction by Mr. Caldwell. The readings will be held on Monday, November 2 @ 6pm and Tuesday November 3 @ 3pm & 7pm, at The Playroom Theatre (151 West 46thStreet, 8th Floor - between Broadway & 6th Avenue).

The Chicago Company of JERSEY BOYS will say 'Bye, Bye Baby' to the Windy City on January 10, 2010, after an incredible run of over two years at the Bank of America Theatre. JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, premiered in Chicago initially as a limited engagement on October 5, 2007. After opening to rave reviews, adding additional performance weeks and setting four new box office records, JERSEY BOYS became a resident production on February 27, 2008. The final performance on January 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. will be the Chicago Company's 951st. The final block of tickets for performances from November 24, 2009 - January 10, 2010 will go on sale on Friday, September 11 at 10 a.m.

The New Picasso recording features Tony-nominated Robert Cuccioli (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards: Jekyll & Hyde), Max von Essen (Les Miserables), Ashley Amber (Curtains), Brooke Sunny Moriber (Les Miserables), Rodney Hicks (Rent) and Christiane Noll (Ragtime, Jekyll & Hyde) along with Broadway veterans William Parry (Sunday in the Park with George, Gypsy), Joseph Dellger (Ragtime), Tony Freeman (The Lion King), and John Jeffrey Martin (Hairspray, Disney's High School Musical).

In a special event celebration, Chicago Mayors Richard M. Daley (City of Chicago) and Jeffery T. The event will takes tonight, October 27 beginning at 6:45 p.m, with 9:45 p.m. special onstage curtain call at the Bank of America Theatre.

The Chicago Tribune's Chris Jones is reporting in his 'Theater Loop', that The Bank of America Theatre in Chicago's Loop, which the hit musical JERSEY BOYS calls home, was evacuated around 9 p.m. Tuesday night after police found two suspicious boxes with notes attached in the alley outside the theater.

Wiley and Scaglione Jr. have already been welcomed by Chicago audiences to their new roles. Cunio is set to make his JERSEY BOYS debut in Chicago on April 24, 2009.

COMEDY CENTRAL Records releases songs from 'A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!' as a digital album exclusively on iTunes on Tuesday, November 25. A portion of the proceeds from the digital album will benefit the charity Feeding America (formerly knows as America's Second Harvest). The digital release features guest artists Elvis Costello, Feist, Toby Keith, John Legend, Willie Nelson and Jon Stewart. The release contains 9 songs featured in the one-hour special, plus the bonus track 'Cold Cold Christmas' that is also included on the DVD of 'A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All.'
