WAM Theatre is pleased to announce the cast for the fourth in their 2016 Fresh Takes Play Reading Series, Samsara by Lauren Yee, directed by WAM Theatre Co-Founder Leigh Strimbeck. The reading will take place on Sunday, August 21 at 3 pm at No. Six Depot Roastery and Cafe, 6 Depot Street in West Stockbridge, MA.

The musical, which opens August 5, is an adaptation of the classic autobiographical novel by Louisa May Alcott.  Alcott grew up amid economic struggle and intellectual ferment to become a successful writer and early feminist. Her story of the fictional March family depicts the passionate ambition of the youthful Jo March and the emotional journey she takes with her three sisters.

This workshop will encourage empathy, inclusivity and acceptance within the LGBTQ community by using and teaching the ideals of improv - listening, trust, respect, affirmation and connection with each other through the principle of Yes, And. TYFCO and Fun Home's main goal is that both I'm From Driftwood and How We G.L.O.W. can take what they learned back to their organizations and continue to inspire others.
