The Barrington Stage Company has announced the casting for its world premiere production of the musical POOL BOY. POOL BOY will star Cliff Bemis (Mr. Lopes), Sara Gettelfinger (Mrs. Duval), John Hicock (Mr. Rodney Duval), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Nick), Jon Norman Schneider (Jack), Sorab Wadia (The Sultan), and Cortney Wolfson (April). POOL BOY will be directed by Daniella Topol, with musical direction by Matt Castle and choreography by Shonn Wiley.

Stars of the Off-Broadway hit musical My Vaudeville Man!, Karen Murphy and Shonn Wiley, are set to perform musical selections from the show along with the original band, and sign copies of the new Ghostlight Records cast recording next Wednesday, August 4th at 6 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle.

Parison, Jr., presents the musical thriller, SWEENEY TODD: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Directed by Julianne Boyd, with musical direction by Darren Cohen, Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece begins previews on June 17; opens June 23 at 7:00pm; and runs through July 17.

The official book launch party was held at the Snapple Theatre in the heart of Time'sSquare on May 19th and featured an incredible cast of Broadway performers readingexcerpts from the book. Celebrity readers include so far Marty Thomas , Celina Carvajal , Shonn Wiley , Nick Blaemire , Todd Buonopane & Emily McNamara , all well known artistin the NYC Broadway community.

Mr. Broadway 2008, Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu) has joined the lineup of readers for Mark Brennan Rosenberg's book launch at The Snapple Theatre on May 19th for his new memior Blackouts and Breakdowns.

Mark Brennan Rosenberg has penned his first book Blackouts & Breakdowns, a no holds bar look into the life of a 20 something very gay, very fabulous, very alcoholic, young man. Mark tells his hysterical tale by giving the reader 11 short stories ranging from kids pooping in cars to the lady who looks like Sex & the City's Bunny McDougal at an AA meeting.

Ghostlight Records announced today that it will release the Off-Broadway Cast Recording of My Vaudeville Man!, starring Karen Murphy and Shonn Wiley, on Tuesday, May 18th. Beginning April 27th, the cast recording will be available digitally on iTunes and on the Ghostlight/Sh-K-Boom website (www.sh-k-boom.com).

The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year's®10th Anniversary Season presented The Broadway Musicals of 1966, a year that brought us iconic shows such as, Cabaret, Mame, I Do! I Do!, Sweet Charity and The Apple Tree, last night, May 10. Overflowing with famous songs from major hit shows, the evening featured more dance numbers than any other Town Hall Broadway by the Year® concert this season. The evening was directed, choreographed and starred Jeffry Denman (who will be going to Broadway next season with this year's Off-Broadway hit musical, Yank!, which he also choreographed).
