FX Inks First Look Deal With Color Force Production Company

FX Productions has entered into an agreement with mega-producer Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and their production company, Color Force, for a first-look production deal with FXP exclusively for cable television.

FX's Late-Night Series TOTALLY BIASED WITH W. KAMAU BELL Premieres Tonight, 8/9

FX has finalized the schedule for its two new late night comedy series. Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, the weekly half-hour series from Executive Producer Chris Rock and starring standup comedian W. Kamau Bell, premieres tonight, August 9 at 11:00 PM E/P, following the six-week run of Brand X with Russell Brand, which debuted on Thursday, June 28 at 11:00 PM E/P.

Godfrey to Star in FX Comedy Series Pilot BRONX WARRANTS

FX has announced the casting of Robert Kelly (NYC 22), stand-up comedian Godfrey (Louie), Josh Segarra (Homeland) and Shirley Rumierk (White Collar) for its latest half-hour comedy pilot BRONX WARRANTS. Emmy(R)-nominated director Scott Ellis (30 Rock) will direct the pilot, which begins production in mid-August in New York.

FX Orders New Drama Series Pilot THE BRIDGE

FX has placed an order for its next drama series pilot, THE BRIDGE, based on an international hit series, which will be adapted for American television by Meredith Stiehm (Homeland) and Elwood Reid (Hawaii Five-O), announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks.

Afterwards, the laughs continue with the season two premiere of Wilfred at 10 PM, the season three premiere of Louie at 10:30 PM, and the debut of Brand X with Russell Brand at 11 PM. ROCK OF AGES Brings In $8 Million in Second Weekend

Adam Shankman's ROCK OF AGES, which opened last weekend, brought in an additional $8 million in its second weekend, according to Boxofficemojo. As Broadwayworld previously reported, the musical earned $14.4 million in its opening weekend, and a total of $28,763,000. The movie took fifth place (behind Brave, Madagascar 3, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Prometheus), having the sixth-highest opening ever for a musical.
