Soho Rep Hosts Benefit Performance Of THAT FACE 5/7

Hecht, Sternhagen & Sullivan Set for Staged Reading of MISS LULU BETT, 4/12

Miss Lulu Bett, a comedy of manners by the first woman playwright to win a Pulitzer Prize, Zona Gale (1874-1938), will be presented in a staged reading 90 years after its Broadway debut by Women's Project, Julie Crosby, Producing Artistic Director, for one night only, Monday, April 12, at 7:00pm, at Women's Project, 424 West 55th Street.

GPR Records to sponsor Haiku Twitter Contest In Celebration of POETIC LICENSE

GPR Records, the new CD label specializing in Broadway, classical, spoken word and children's music, is sponsoring a poetry contest that will take place on Twitter, called TwItsPoetic, to celebrate National Poetry Month and the release of their first CD Poetic License: 100 Poems by 100 Performers.

Soho Rep Receives $200,000 Grant, Postpones ORANGE, HAT & GRACE

Off-Broadway's eleven-time Obie Award-winning Soho Rep (46 Walker Street) is the recipient of a grant in the amount of $200,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to help support the work of the company over the next several seasons; it has been announced by Soho Rep Artistic Director Sarah Benson.

Young Jean Lee's LEAR Closes 1/31 at Soho Rep

Off-Broadway's eleven-time Obie Award-winning Soho Rep (46 Walker Street) will present a diverse array of contemporary theater artists, beginning with Young Jean Lee's LEAR (January 7 - January 31, 2010); followed by Gregory Moss' ORANGE, HAT & GRACE (March 11 - April 4, 2010) directed by Soho Rep Artistic Director Sarah Benson; and concluding with Cynthia Hopkins' THE TRUTH: A TRAGEDY (May 6 - May 30); and will implement a new humanities programming initiative - FEED - for all main stage productions during the company's 2009-10 season, it has been announced by Soho Rep Artistic Director Sarah Benson.
