Following the charity auction of an exclusive Prince Harry and Meghan Markle PEZ Set, PEZ Candy, Inc., today announced the winning bid of $9,893.33. The auction, in support of Make-A-Wish UK began May 7 and concluded May 13. The exciting auction saw 25 bidders and 46 bids with the winning bid coming down to the final minutes and going to the highest bidder from New Jersey. All proceeds from the auction will be going to the Make-A-Wish UK Foundation.

San Francisco's Curran Theater is playing host to Head Over Heels, an Elizabethan farce and romp featuring the 80s pop-rock music of the Go-Go's. The all-girl band emerged out of the LA punk scene of the late 70s, but they soon found their groove in the driving beat of the power pop songs they wrote and played themselves. The catchy melodies, simple arrangements, heavy drums and prominent guitar riffs quickly took them to the top of the charts while also making a star of lead singer Belinda Carlisle. It's a diverse sound rooted in the influence of Brasher's two homes: her adopted hometown of Memphis; and her childhood stomping grounds in rural North Carolina, where she was raised in a musical, multi-ethnic household.

Today the Franco-American Cultural Fund have announced that Mélanie Laurent will be honored as their “Focus on a Filmmaker” at the COLCOA French Film Festival.  Additionally, they have announced the five films that comprise the “COLCOA Classic Series.” These selections will be presented as part of COLCOA's 22nd edition, which will run Monday, April 23 through Monday, April 30, with all screenings taking place at the Directors Guild of America.   All films in the COLCOA Classics are free to the public. The complete line-up including films and series competing for the COLCOA Awards 2018 will be announced on April 3rd.
