Sheffield Theatres today unveils Lionel Bart's multi award-winning masterpiece, Oliver! as this year's Christmas musical. The production will go on sale to members on Saturday 18 May and to the public on Saturday 25 May, along with four new shows that will visit the Lyceum Theatre next season.
Northern Ballet's new full length production, The Great Gatsby, will be performed at the Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield from Tuesday 12 - Saturday 16 March. For its spring program, Smuin Ballet will present the West Coast premiere of Swipe by Val Caniparoli, internationally renowned choreographer and principal character dancer at San Francisco Ballet. Smuin audiences will also be treated to the World Premiere of Through by Ma Cong (French Twist), an uplifting work set to music by Academy Award-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. The bill will also include Michael Smuin's elegant Symphony of Psalms, a breathtaking classical piece set to Stravinsky's score.
