Theatre Communications Group (TCG) announces the 2015 Round 3 recipients of the Leadership U[niversity] - One-on-One program.

BroadwayWorld is excited to report complete casting for the New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist and Emmy Award nominated writer Rolin Jones and Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winning Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong's new play with music THESE PAPER BULLETS!, directed by Jackson Gay at Atlantic Theater Company. Much of the company carries over from the show's Los Angeles premiere.

Atlantic Theater Company presents the first production of its 30th anniversary season, the New York revival of multiple Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill's landmark play Cloud Nine, directed by Obie Award winner James Macdonald. Cloud Nine began previews September 16, officially opened last night October 5, and will play a limited engagement through Sunday, November 1, 2015 Off Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20 Street). 

Pie Man Theatre Company (PMTC), in association with New YORK Theatre Company, will present Best Enemies, the latest comedy-drama from Maine playwright Michael Kimball. Best Enemies is an intricate, hilarious and touching portrayal of two 'cowboys' stranded together on a tiny tropical desert island when the rodeo cruise ship on which they were traveling blows up and sinks.

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust today announced that playwrights Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Dominique Morisseau will be honored at the 2015 Steinberg Playwright Awards on Monday, November 16, 2015. Scenes highlighting their work will be performed at the 8th Annual 'Mimi' Awards, which will take place at Lincoln Center Theater.

Geffen Playhouse presents the West Coast premiere of THESE PAPER BULLETS! A Modish Ripoff of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, opening the not-for-profit organization's 20th anniversary season in the Gil Cates Theater. 'Artaud Artaud' is a 'cruel not-masterpiece in one act' written by Matthew Minnicino, directed by Jake Beckhard and perfomed by Artilliers performing company. The play is a comitragic carnival that centers around the godfather of the avant-garde theater, Antonin Artaud. It is a merciless parody of the sensibilities of Artaud's manifesto 'Theatre of Cruelty' and a sympathetic, semi-obsessive portrait of its greatest proponent and his somewhat dual nature. It is a faithful biopic written into a biting satire, yet is at its heart an homage to the messiness of creativity. 'Artaud Artaud' will have its world premiere September 1-15 presented by Theater for the New City's 2015 Dream Up Festival.

The new play is a battle-of-the-sexes farce set in New York City. The reading, which is being produced by The Resonance Ensemble, takes place tonight, July 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m at the Manhattan Theatre Club Studios (311 W 43rd Street 8th Floor) and is open to the public.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing professionals, presented the 5th annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards on June 16th at Sardi's, honoring outstanding achievement in Off Broadway theatre for the 2014 - 2015 season. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Arthur Gelb, Judith Malina and Marian Seldes were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.
