Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) announces the fall 2016 performance and residency series, which runs September 27 through December 16. BAC Presents will bring to BAC's stages World and U.S. Premieres of works by international music and dance artists. Tickets go on sale August 15 and can be purchased online at bacnyc.org or by phone at 866 811 4111. Throughout the season,BAC Residencies will provide critical support to nine artists across disciplines to develop new work in BAC's studios.

The recording, a hybrid SACD is out today, Friday, April 8, 2016, is the second in an ongoing series by Music Director Thierry Fischer and the Utah Symphony for Reference Recordings. It follows the release of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 'Titan,' recorded live by the Utah Symphony and Mr. Fischer, issued in September 2015. LA Master Chorale to Present West Coast Premiere of 2015 Pulitzer-Winning ANTHRACITE FIELDS

The acclaimed Bang on a Can All-Stars join the Los Angeles Master Chorale for the highly anticipated west coast premiere of Julia Wolfe's 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning Anthracite Fields, on Sunday, March 6, 2016, 7:30 pm. Performed with a multimedia backdrop by celebrated visual artist and scenic designer Jeff Sugg, the text weaves together the oral histories, interviews, union speeches and even accident reports from the Pennsylvania mining region at the turn of the 19th century. Additionally, the program, entitled "Music of the Coal Miner" and led by Artistic Director Grant Gershon, includes selections from the Sacred Harp Anthology and spirituals of Appalachia.

The Woman at the Window: The Triangle Factory Fire - a powerful original oratorio with music and lyrics by 85 high school choir students from downtown Los Angeles' Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts based on the horrific 1911 fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City in which 146 garment workers, mostly young girls from immigrant families, perished in the worst workplace tragedy in American history until the Twin Towers fell on 9/11 - is being premiered by the students in conjunction with the Los Angeles Master Chorale Chamber Singers in free performances today, February 4, at noon, and Friday, February 5, 2016, at 7 pm, at the high school's main auditorium.

Carnegie Hall today unveiled its 2016-2017 season consisting of more than 170 concerts as well as wide-ranging education and community programs created by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute.
