Paper Mill Playhouse will soon present the New Jersey premiere of Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz. Chasing Rainbows features a book by Marc Acito, musical adaptation & additional music by David Libby and conceived by and additional lyrics by Tina Marie Casamento. Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz begins performances Thursday, September 26, 2019, and will continue through Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Paper Mill Playhouse (22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ).

Paper Mill Playhouse recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award, recently announced that tickets for individual shows for the 2019-2020 season will be available to the public this coming Monday, August 19, 2019. As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, a new Broadway-bound musical about the early life of Judy Garland, from her vaudeville sister act through her rise at MGM to win the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, just had an industry presentation in New York City. The musical has reportedly earned the approval of one very important guest, Liza Minnelli. She told Deadline:

This summer, Theater at Monmouth celebrates wily, wicked, and wonderful women through classic literature's most fantastic females. On Monday, November 21, Goodspeed Musicals kicks-off their Annual Food Drive to benefit the East Haddam Food Bank. Goodspeed will be collecting donations during Thanksgiving week in the hopes that they will have another record-breaking year for participation. The need is even greater this year as the number of households served by the East Haddam Food Bank has grown once again to record levels.

Goodspeed is thrilled to announce the cast of Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, abrand-new musical that chronicles a time before "Meet Me in St. Louis," "Easter Parade," and "A Star is Born"-a time when Judy Garland was simply, "the girl with the great big voice." Filled with many beloved songs sung by Judy Garland throughout her career, Chasing Rainbows will run September 16 - November 27 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn.
