Two of America's leading stage and screen actors come to Chichester this summer for Tennessee Williams' SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH, directed by Jonathan Kent. Celebrated Oscar and Tony Award-winning actor Marcia Gay Harden makes her UK theatre debut as Alexandra, and Brian J. Smith plays Chance. Comedian and Hitchcock enthusiast Paul Merton is to make a very special cameo in the hit West End comedy The 39 Steps, for one night only on Thursday 12 March in aid of Comic Relief.
To celebrate the release of the performance rights to an abridged schools version of THE 39 STEPS, which is currently in its ninth award-winning year at the West End's Criterion Theatre, the production is offering schools a chance to win a FREE trip to see the show from Monday 6 April - Thursday 25 June 2015. The winning entry will also win a free 39 Steps themed workshop with Theatre Workout Education and free performance rights to the abridged schools version for a year upon publication with Samuel French Ltd in 2015.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced today that Robert Sean Leonard will play Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird, the first production of the 2013 season. The Tony award-winning American actor is best known for playing Dr. James Wilson in the Fox television series House and Neil Perry in the 1989 movie Dead Poets Society. Having frequently performed on and off Broadway since 1986, To Kill a Mockingbird will mark Robert's return to the London stage for the first time in 22 years. Peter Pan will return home for the first time in over 100 years when a new production of JM Barrie's 'PETER PAN', written by Tanya Ronder, will be performed this summer in a specially designed tent in Kensington Gardens. As JM Barrie wrote in 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens',
'Standing on the ledge he could see trees far away, which were doubtless the Kensington Gardens, and the moment he saw them he entirely forgot that he was now a little boy in a nightgown, and away he flew, right over the houses into the Gardens.'
