The starry cast included Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan ('The Last 5 Years,' Newsies), Ben Platt ('Pitch Perfect,' The Book of Mormon), Carrie Manolakos (Wicked, Mamma Mia!), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!, Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story), Meghann Fahy ('One Life To Live,' Next to Normal), Adrienne Warren ('Orange Is The New Black,' Bring It On), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Bring It On), Isabelle (American Idol), Jason Gotay (NBC's 'Peter Pan Live,' Bring It On), and Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture, Les Miserables). The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 30th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST, and hosted by Emmy-nominated actors Anna Chlumsky (“Veep,” Broadway's Living on Love) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (“Modern Family,” this summer's The Tempest). This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) announces this season's Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography from more than 200 eligible productions in the 2013-2014 New York City theatre season. This year's awards will be presented to John Rando for his direction of The Heir Apparent, produced by Classic Stage Company, and Martha Clarke for her choreography of Cheri, produced by Signature Theatre.

According to Deadline.com, the children of Bert Berns, songwriting contemporary of Carole King, Gerry Goffin, and many other '60s artists, are pushing to have, PIECE OF MY HEART: THE BERT BERNS STORY, the Off-Broadway bio musical about their father, taken to the Great White Way.

Carleigh Bettiol has recently stepped into the role of 'Young Ilene' in off-Broadway's Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story. The new musical is based on the life and songs of legendary songwriter Bert Berns, and is set to conclude its run this Sunday, September 14 after extending its initial run by two weeks.
