Anna-Jane Casey And Howard Crossley Join New Cast Of BILLY ELLIOT, From May 2013

From 13 May 2013 Anna-Jane Casey will join the West End cast of Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre to play Billy's dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson. Also joining the cast are Kevin Wathen as Billy's brother, Tony, Howard Crossley as George and Alexander Loxton as Older Billy.

Eric Woolfson's SOMEWHERE IN THE AUDIENCE Released Today

ERIC WOOLFSON'S SOMEWHERE IN THE AUDIENCE is set for release today, 18th March 2013 on Limelight Records. The alumb will be released on the anniversary of what would have been the late Eric Woolfson's 68th birthday. 'Somewhere in the Audience' is a compilation of music from four of Eric's musicals 'GAUDI', 'GAMBLER', 'POE' and 'DANCING SHADOWS'.

Sierra Boggess, Julian Ovenden and More Featured in RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN: AT THE MOVIES Album

EMI Classics has announced the second album from world renowned conductor and arranger John Wilson and The John Wilson Orchestra, entitled Rodgers & Hammerstein: At The Movies . The album, which will be released on April 9th, showcases music from Rodgers & Hammerstein's best-loved musicals, including You'll Never Walk Alone (Carousel), Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin'! (Oklahoma) and I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair (South Pacific), all brought to life by John's handpicked ensemble of some of the world's finest musicians, as well as soloists Joyce DiDonato, Sierra Boggess, Anna-Jane Casey, Maria Ewing, Julian Ovenden, David Pittsinger, and the Maida Vale Singers.

It's a lovely feeling to rehearse a show that's set in London and all about Londoners here. It seems strange that the first performances in 1967/1968 were in Toronto, Boston and New York.

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot is a kind-of new musical with a book by Eric Idle and an entirely new score for the new production, (well, almost) created by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. Following a staggering national romp, this new production moved to Playhouse Theatre, beginning performances 14 November and opening last night. View photos below!

Stephen Tompkinson Set to Debut in West End's SPAMALOT

According to reports, Stephen Tompkinson will make his West End musical debut in Monty Python musical Spamalot (playing King Arthur). The musical will transfer to the Playhouse Theatre beginning November 20, 2012, with previews starting November 14.

Part of the BBC Proms 2012 series from Royal Albert Hall in London, John Wilson conducted the John Wilson Orchestra and Maida Vale Singers in MAME by Jerry Herman, with featured soloists Sierra Boggess, Anna-Jane Casey, Rodney Earl Clarke, Elizabeth Llewellyn, Seth MacFarlane and Julian Ovenden. Broadway veteran Sierra Boggess will be featured on the upcoming Rodgers & Hammerstein At The Movies CD, singing 'I Have Confidence' from THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Ruthie Henshall, Dennis Waterman, et al. Set for GUYS & DOLLS Concert

Opening at Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square, on 22 August, this special concert adaptation of Guys and Dolls will star Dennis Waterman as the narrator, Ruthie Henshall as Adelaide, Anna-Jane Casey as Sarah, Tim Howar as Sky Masterson and Graham Bickley as Nathan Detroit.

TV: Sneak Peek of Sheffield Theatre's COMPANY

Stephen Sondheim's musical COMPANY began performances at the Crucible Theatre at the end of November, with an official opening night on 5th December. The show will continue through 7th January.
