Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's professional award-winning theatre company, continues its 30th Anniversary Season with a production of the holiday favorite It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. The play will run December 9-18. Aladdin, Disney's hit Broadway musical, recently released a new music video featuring Adam Jacobs (Aladdin) performing a one-man version of "One Jump Ahead" from the show. In the arrangement made exclusively for Jacobs' debut solo album, "Right Where I Belong - Songs of Alan Menken," Jacobs voices multiple characters, each playfully brought to life in the vibrant new video.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Adam Jacobs, currently starring as Aladdin in Disney's Aladdin on Broadway, just released his debut solo album entitled 'Right Where I Belong,' a compilation of songs by Tony Award® and eight-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Aladdin). Featured on the album are well known tunes such as 'Proud of Your Boy' (Aladdin), 'Go The Distance' (Hercules), 'Santa Fe' (Newsies), and 'Suddenly Seymour' (Little Shop of Horrors, in duet with Jacobs' sister Arielle Jacobs), as well as other melodies from Menken's earlier works. He just celebrated the release of the album with some of his Broadway friends, and BroadwayWorld was there for the special night. Watch as Adam and friends talk all things Menken below!
Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) announces the successful completion of its two-year, $1M Cage Cunningham Campaign to establish the Cage Cunningham Fund for artist fellowships, named for legendary artistic partners John Cage and Merce Cunningham. BAC's Artistic Director Mikhail Baryshnikov announced the inaugural Cage Cunningham Fellow, Alexei Lubimov, at an event on Monday, December 14, held at the Center. The event also served as the official naming of BAC's Studio 6A the John Cage and Merce Cunningham Studio. The Studio is the first physical space honoring Cage and Cunningham's unparalleled contribution to 20th century art and culture.
