El INBAL recuerda al escritor y periodista José Juan Tablada en el 148 aniversario de su natalicio


El Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) recuerda al escritor, periodista, crítico literario y diplomático José Juan Tablada, quien nació un día como hoy, pero de 1871, en la Ciudad de México. Fue impulsor del haikú en la literatura hispana y autor de El florilegio, Al sol y bajo la luna, Li-Po y otros poemas, El jarro de flores, La feria y La resurrección de los ídolos, entre otras obras de poesía y narrativa.

Utah Opera Announces 2019-20 Season


Artistic Director Christopher McBeth today announced the programming, initial casting, and creative teams for Utah Opera's 2019-20 season, sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Dor Eccles Foundation. In its upcoming season, Utah Opera produces four operas at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre: Verdi's La traviata in October 2019, Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell's Silent Night in January 2020, Rossini's The Barber of Seville in March 2020, and Massenet's Tha s in May 2020. Florida Grand Opera closes the 2013-14 season with yet another exciting deviation from the standard repertoire – Massenet's Thaïs, opening May 3, 2014, at the Arsht Center. Bringing a touch of eastern mystique to the season, this work was last presented by FGO in 1976. It comes to the stage in a co-production by the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Boston Lyric Opera, and Opéra de Montréal conceived and designed by the team of Renaud Doucet and Andre Barbe.
