BareShakespeare presents a new production of Shakespeare's late romance, /Cymbeline/. Featuring one of the Bard's most outrageous plotlines, the play concerns two young lovers separated by a stubborn King, his evil Queen, her half-witted son, an Italian womanizer, a sleeping potion, a stolen bracelet, a mistaken corpse, kidnapped princes and a war with the Roman Empire. Director Reesa Graham has reimagined Shakespeare's fantasy as a comedy rife with clowns, riotous slapstick and wild physicality. In the world of this Cymbeline, the atmosphere is playful and exuberant, the stakes are sky-high, and the audience is the most important character of all.

BareShakespeare is a company whose work is particularly geared toward accessibility and audience participation. The company uses the dramatic conventions of Shakespeare's era, and contemporize them to give the works of the English language's greatest playwright a refreshing sense of playfulness.
