TOTEM POLE PLAYHOUSE SEEKS LOCAL ACTORS FOR 2017 SEASON

Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania’s premiere summer theatre, will hold local auditions for the upcoming summer season this Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Gettysburg College’s Majestic Theater.

Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania’s premiere summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, will hold local auditions for their upcoming 2017 season on Saturday, March 4th from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. in the rehearsal hall of Gettysburg College’s Majestic Theater, 25 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA 17325. Appointments are not necessary to audition.

Totem Pole is seeking both union and non-union performers between the ages of 20 and 50 yrs. for ensemble and supporting roles for their production of the Tony Award-winning Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone. Those interested in auditioning should arrive between 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song which demonstrates their vocal range and abilities, an accompanist will be provided. Callbacks will be held the same day from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Those called back will also be asked to learn and perform a short dance routine and read a scene from the show, sides will be available at the auditions. Totem Pole Playhouse’s Producing Artistic Director, Rowan Joseph, will conduct the auditions with Chad-Alan Carr, Artistic Director of the Gettysburg Community Theatre teaching the audition choreography.

Those who are cast will be paid a small stipend for performances and Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) points are available under Totem Pole Playhouse’s agreement with Actors’ Equity Association, the professional actors’ union.

The Drowsy Chaperone rehearsals begin May 30th and the show runs thru July 2nd.
