PRAY FOR THE DEAD is a dark musical comedy telling the tale of morgue workers taking their business and lives into their own hands.

All characters (with the exception of the DUG GRAVES) – should be excellent singers.

BENITA:
44 year old gypsy-like, charismatic, emotive morgue worker (alto C4 – Ab4) (Also playing Ms. Represent, an arrogant Vault member w a singing part)

CURTIS:
33 year old silly, complaining morgue worker (tenor) (Also playing Galen, a 44 years old dignified, proud Steelworkers leader) (Also plays Parham—the arrogant pathetic national party leader) (Also Rob Peoples, banker, vault leader, over exaggeratingly mean)

DUG GRAVES
42 year old bossy, clueless, self pitying funeral home owner (Does a spoken rap with a music intro) Also playing Joseph Ladin/TV Commentator/Narrator/Sisters of the spirit member
