Mark Stuart Dance Theater Brings Broadway-Bound STANDARD TIME to Fulton Theatre This Weekend

Dubbed "smoldering" by the New York Times, Mark Stuart Dance Theater (MSDT) debuts it's all-new dance musical Standard Time exclusively at the Fulton Theatre before a planned Broadway engagement.

The MSDT signature gravity-defying movement and dramatic storytelling light up this 90-minute dance musical, to be performed on the Mainstage at the Fulton Theatre for two performances only. The performance kicks off Fulton Theatre's 2013/2014 Season.

"Fulton audiences have NEVER had the opportunity to see a dance show of this caliber and I personally think thatMark Stuart is soon to be one of the best known names on Broadway," says Marc Robin, Fulton Theatre Artistic Director. "He is an artist of unique vision, passion and artistry that creates an individual dance style that is thrilling to witness. Standard Time is provocative and sensual with acrobatic and explosive routines that can only be performed by the Marc Stuart Dance Theater. We are proud to welcome the company to our stage and introduce this stunning performance to the Lancaster community."

Standard Time celebrates timeless love and conflict using movement and storytelling. The performance follows three love stories set in the Great Depression, the Civil Rights movement and today. Each story is performed to hit standards from the 1930's, 1960's, and the 2000's respectively. The show features an award-winning cast of 14 dancers, 4 vocalists and a 5-piece orchestra.

Under the artistic direction of award-winning choreographer Mark Stuart, MSDT expresses the physical and emotional rawness of human relationships through a bold and explosive blend of dance movement. MSDT has been featured in films, commercials, music videos, on Broadway, at the International Dance Festival Jacob's Pillow and in an exclusive performance for Madonna.

The company brings together a stunning array of dance styles and backgrounds, featuring an all-star cast of Broadway gypsies from Movin' Out, Memphis, Wicked, Come Fly Away, Lion King, In the Heights, Spiderman, Billy Elliott, Promises Promises, and former members of legendary dance companies Parsons Dance, Momix, Hubbard Street, and Pilobolus.

Standard Time will debut at the Fulton Theatre tonight, September 28 at 8 pm and Sunday, September 29 at 3 pm. Ticket prices are $35 per seat. Fulton Theatre subscribers save $5 per ticket. Tickets are on sale now at the box office at 717-397-7425 or
