Luminario Ballet to Host Fall 2013 Gala, 10/15

The Luminario Ballet Fall Gala fundraiser is set for Tuesday, October 15th from 6-10 PM at the dance company's beautiful rehearsal studio at Faisdodo/Sukonick Concert Hall, 5253 West Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, Calif.

The evening will include a special performance of Schubert's "Winterreise" played by Le Salon de Musique's Francois Chouchan on piano and David Castillo, baritone, with ballet dancers AJ Abrams and Sadie Black as the lovers gone wrong. Womack and Bowman perform a scorching aerial dance pas de deux performance of "Apogee", created for Luminario Ballet and premiered at the Luminario Ballet Miami Dance Festival April 2013. Plus, see LedZAerial, the epic Led Zeppelin ballet a terre and en l'air, featuring the gorgeous Luminario Ballet dancers and aerialists.

Come hear about new repertory plans for 2014- including "Trails" a multi disciplinary dance piece about the effects of climate change on California, a collaboration with NASA/JPL, and UCSD's Music, Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts dept, using the technology from Kinect, and more!
