Our Configurations is a one-night-only evening of performances by disabled and non-disabled artists and companies: AXIS Dance Company, Marc Brew, Kinetic Light, and Marissa Perel. Hentyle Yapp, Assistant Professor, NYU Department of Art and Public Policy, moderates a post-performance discussion with the artists.

Marc Brew: Remember When
Remember When explores exposure, line and extension, intricate folding, and placement and replacement. This intimate solo performances opens a conversation of remembrance, looking from past to present.

AXIS Dance Company: Dix minutes plus tard
AXIS Dance Company Members Julie Crothers and Alivia Schaffer perform Sonya Delwaide's Dix minutes plus tard. Kinetic Light: to bend a bough and Broken Intent
In these two intimate duets, dancers Laurel Lawson and Alice Sheppard explore the twists and turns of desire and the invitations of momentum, acceleration, and gravity.

Marissa Perel: (do not) despair solo
(do not) despair solo traces choreography, disability, queerness, and intimacy through language, power, and consent. Perel reconfigures the performer-audience relationship to create a space for a body in pain.
