Known for it's international company of dancers, the Atlantic City Ballet will be featuring some home grown talent, as part of their Young Choreographers Series. The series will feature three company member's choreography and one of those featured dancers is Sara Lonngren a NJ native from Mt. Laurel, NJ. Sara started her career training with the National Ballet of New Jersey. She attended the University of Arts in Philadelphia where she received a BFA in Ballet Performance. Upon graduation she attended the Atlantic City Ballet's Summer Intensive and was asked to join the company in the Fall of 2006.

For Sara this is not her first leap into choreography. In 2012 she co-choreographed the critically acclaimed 7 Sins with fellow Young Choreographer, Kristaps Kikulis. As a nine year company member, Sara has seen the company grow and has originated some of the company's more well-known roles including Brides in "Dracula" and Arabian in "Nutcracker". Her ballet, for the company's Spring Premier will be Moulin Rouge. Inspired by the movie of the same name, Sara will give audiences the essence of the movie in a shortened time frame. "Since I'm sharing the stage with two other company members I had a limit on the length of time," says Sara, "but I think that's the challenge, to capture the most important parts of the story and translate that into a ballet." Also featured in the series is Ballet Master, Kristaps Kikulis who will be premiering his piece the Four Elements and Aldeir Monteiro who will be premiering Concerto Villa-Lobos. Information about all these events can be found on the company's web site at www.acballlet.org.
