Decadance 2017

Decadance 2017 consists of excerpts from works spanning Narahin's 27 years as Artistic Director of Batsheva, widely considered one of the world's foremost contemporary dance companies. These include Z/na (1995), Kyr (1990), Telophaza (2006), Anaphase (1993), Mabul (1992), Sadeh21 (2011), Naharin's Virus (2001), Zachacha (1998), Three (2005), and Max (2007).

Naharin says that creating Decadance 2017 has allowed him to look back at his body of work in a fresh light. He remixes these pieces-all of them grounded in his unique Gaga dance vocabulary-into a seamlessly coherent whole that epitomizes the Company's signature physicality, creativity, and precision. With a dash of comedy, scintillating storytelling, and a musical smorgasbord ranging from rock 'n roll to samba, Decadance 2017 is fast, fun, and thrilling.
