Performing some of TSO's greatest hits and their own music as part of their original Holiday Rock Opera, "Tales Beneath a Northern Star" Wizards of Winter makes their debut appearance at the Capitol Center for the Arts tonight, December 3.

Featuring some of the mid-Atlantic's finest rock and progressive musicians, The Wizards of Winter reprise a few of the greatest hits of the Trans- Siberian Orchestra's Christmas and Classical catalog. During 2014 the band released their own album based on original Christmas material in a similar yet unique style. The Wizards original music comprises the major portion of their live performances as part of their holiday rock opera " Tales Beneath a Northern Star".

More than just passionate performers, a Wizards of Winter performance highlights a greater cultural arc at play. Rock music has been through a lot of permutations over five decades: Technological advancements and the internet have allowed fans to interface with all of that musical history. To that end, Wizards Of Winter are simultaneously recalling a heyday of classically tinged rock that's part and parcel of older listeners' mythology, while also amping it up in aggressive ways appealing to young rock fans. Kelly hopes that WOW will continue to bridge generations-and their attendant tastes-for something that is both commercially viable and honest, but more importantly, to make some gesture toward how music should be respected rather than merely "browsed," a stance Kelly keeps a hard-line on.

This 12 member ensemble boasts soaring vocal harmonies, precision string instrumentation, powerful percussion and stunning keyboard work, layered around a rich storyboard that evokes December's past! Celebrate the Season with WOW!

Wizards of Winter tickets are $48 Gold Circle; $38 Orchestra/Mezzanine; and $28 Balcony and are available now by calling 603-225-1111, online at www.ccanh.com, and at the box office, located at 44 South Main Street, Concord, NH 03301, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
