Turning Point Ensemble's Season Opens with IMAGINARY WORLDS at Vancouver Playhouse Tonight

Turning Point Ensemble launches its season with a colourful and engaging concert, "Imaginary Worlds" tonight, September 19th at 8pm at the Vancouver Playhouse, 600 Dunsmuir St.

Music can imagine new worlds and evoke the spirit of other times. Experience the Viennese Kaiser Waltz by Strauss, folk music of Korean street Markets by Unsuk Chin, Vancouver's early Chinatown arranged by Mark Armanini, the melancholy world of Canadian composer Claude Vivier and new work by Tajik/Canadian composer Farangis Nurulla-Khoja.

The supremely talented group of musicians that is the Turning Point Ensemble always perform exceptional concerts of bold distinct music, new and old, innovative and ground breaking, providing a rare musical experience for its audience.
