November 19, 2013 - Chattanooga, TN

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Youth Orchestras (CSOYO) continue their 2013-2014 season on November 25 at 7:30pm at the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (CSAS) Auditorium with a concert performed by the Prelude and Etude Orchestras, conducted by Nichole Pitts. Lisa Smith is accompanist.

The Prelude and Etude Orchestras are string orchestras in their first few years of orchestral training. They will be performing a short concert exhibiting a variety of styles and techniques for young string players, including selections by Elliot Del Borgo ("Entry of the Tumblers", Royal Court Dance"), Soon Hee Newbold ("Gaelic Castle"), and Gerald E. Anderson ("Tribute to the Three B's"). They will also be playing some familiar music such as the "New World Symphony Theme" by Antonin Dvorak, and the Rondeau by Jean Joseph Mouret (theme for "Masterpiece Theater").

This is a great opportunity for parents and grandparents to bring young ones to be inspired by other young people. Come see the future of the symphony orchestra in action!

There is no admission charge. Call 423.267.9011 for more information. Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences is located at 865 East Third Street in Chattanooga (37403).
