Single Tickets for the Canton Symphony Orchestra's 2014-2015 Season to go On-Sale 9/2

Single concert tickets will go on sale September 2nd for the Canton Symphony Orchestra's 77th season. Events include seven concerts in the MasterWorks classical series, two Pops Concerts, three performances in the casual series and educational offerings that include ConverZations, SymphonyLand, Kinder Concerts, and Young People's Concerts.
The CSO's Masterworks Series will begin on October 5th in the Umstattd Performing Arts Hall. The series continues monthly through April 25th, 2015. Guest Artists performing during this year's season include Allison Pohl, Westwater Arts, Wu Man, Joshua Roman, and Andre Watts.The Pops offerings feature performances by the Canton Symphony Chorus and choruses from Perry & Alliance high schools on the annual Holiday Concert,December 7th, 2014; and the return of Kent-Based band, The Speedbumps, onFebruary 7, 2015 at the Canton Palace Theatre. In the Spring, the orchestra will present a Beethoven Festival, celebrating the life and music of one of western music's most influential composers. Over the course of four concerts on March 28 and 29 and April 25 and 26 , the CSO, featuring André Watts as solo pianist, will perform all five of Beethoven's piano concerti, his 9th symphony, and other works by the legendary composer. The festival will also feature lectures, movies, and other events focusing on Beethoven's music.
Founded in 1937, the Canton Symphony Orchestra is a fully professional ensemble and organization dedicated to performing concerts that enrich, educate and entertain. Under the direction of Gerhardt Zimmermann, the orchestra performs classical, pops, holiday, and educational programs. Most performances are in Umstattd Performing Arts Hall, 2323 17th Street NW, Canton, Ohio (at McKinley High School across from C.T. Branin Natatorium). Parking at McKinley High School is free.
