5@5 at DiMenna Solo Piano Series presents Brazil's Paulo Steinberg in concert on Saturday, June 18 @ 5:00 PM, as the sixth program of their 2016 performance series, curated by Mirian Conti, at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street in Manhattan.

The concert will include music by Villa-Lobos, Domenico Scarlatti, Schumann, Liszt and Ernesto Nazareth.

Paulo Steinberg is currently Associate Professor of Piano at James Madison University. He has performed as a soloist and as a collaborative pianist in Brazil, Canada, Iceland, and in the U.S., including venues such as the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo in Brazil, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.


Dr. Steinberg holds a bachelor's degree in piano from Universidade de São Paulo, a Master's degree from Arizona State University, and a Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University. A winner of several national competitions in Brazil, he was also the recipient of a scholarship from the Brazilian Government while pursuing his Master's degree.

5@5 at DiMenna recital programs feature world-class international pianists exploring an array of solo piano works from the last 400 years. 5@5 at DiMenna is a Fractured Atlas sponsored project.
