New Jersey Symphony Presents SPRING INTO MUSIC Gala Honoring Governor Thomas H. Kean Tonight

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra hosts its 2015 Spring into Music Gala tonight, April 18, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. The event includes cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and an NJSO POPS concert that welcomes Spectrum for a tribute to the music of Motown. The gala's honoree is former New Jersey Governor Thomas H. Kean, in honor of the Governor's 80th birthday.

Concert Tickets - starting at $20

In addition to the April 18 performance at 8 pm at NJPAC, the NJSO presents the program on Sunday, April 19, at 3 pm at the State Theatre in New Brunswick in collaboration with the theater. The Orchestra's third pops concert of the season caps the evening. Spectrum recreates the sounds of Motown legends like The Four Tops, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Drifters, The Miracles and other R&B sensations. The quartet brings its signature harmonies and energy to "Just My Imagination," "My Girl," "The Way You Do the Things You Do" and other classic Motown hits.

All proceeds from the gala event will support the NJSO as it enriches lives through its artistic, music education and community engagement programs.
