Jackie Evancho to Play Boston's Wang Theatre, 2/1

Soprano prodigy Jackie Evancho has announced new tour dates across North America in advance of her upcoming album release SONGS FROM THE SILVER SCREEN, out on Syco/Columbia Records October 2, 2012. The astonishingly talented star made her breakthrough performance at the age of ten on NBC's "America's Got Talent" and was praised by judge Piers Morgan as being "the whole package."

As the fall months begin to take shape, Evancho will be securing a name for herself in Hollywood when she makes her feature film debut in Robert Redford's upcoming film, The Company You Keep. Her poise, maturity and talent earned her a role as Redford's daughter in the film, which also stars such Hollywood luminaries as Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Terrance Howard and Shia LeBeaouf. The film premiered last weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in March 2013.

Her beauty and charm have also earned her a starring role in GUESS Kids' upcoming Fall 2012 print campaign which showcases her personality as a stylish young talent entering the fashion world.

"This year has been so much fun," said Jackie Evancho. "I've met so many great people traveling, I got to star in my first movie opposite all of these amazing actors, and I even got to do some modeling-but singing is what I love the most."

While performing on America's Got Talent, Evancho's innate perfect pitch and mastery of classical phrasing wowed audiences across the globe. The 12 year old star has since embarked on an incredible career, defining a genre of "classical crossover" while performing a range of music from operatic arias to pop standards.

Named on Billboard's list of music movers-and-shakers under the age of 21, Evancho has dominated the Billboard charts. Her debut EP O HOLY NIGHT released in 2010 was the year's best-selling debut record with sales of 1 million units and a Platinum certification. Evancho's studio album DREAM WITH ME, released in June 2011 debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, and earned a Gold certification after only four weeks. The album, which featured an eclectic mix of genres from opera, to show tunes, and pop songs, proved her crossover appeal. Her holiday album HEAVENLY CHRISTMAS was released in November 2011 and also became one of the most successful holiday releases of the year.
