Donovan Webster, a former senior editor for Outside magazine, has written for the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, National Geographic, Smithsonian, Garden & Gun and the New York Times magazine among other publications. He is also the author of several books and occasionally functions as a reluctant screenwriter. He lives with his family outside Charlottesville, Va.
