Nominations for The 2011 Helpmann Awards to be Announced 7/4

A List of Nominations in each of the 41 categories for the Helpmann Awards® will be announced in Sydney and Melbourne, concurrently, on Monday 4 July at 6pm at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney and Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne. Jonathan Biggins will host the Announcement Event in Sydney, and Todd McKenney will host in Melbourne.

Presenters at the Nominations Announcement Event in Sydney will be Mitchell Butel, Bobby Fox, Amanda Muggleton and Garry Scale, whilst in Melbourne the Presenters at the Nominations Event will be Justin Burford, Amy Lehpamer, Ewen Leslie, ShaRon Millerchip, Jo Turner and Christie Whelan.

In addition Kathryn Sadler, Chair of the Brian Stacey Memorial Trust will, in Melbourne, announce the winner of the Brian Stacey Award for Emerging Australian Conductors. The winner will be presented with a $7,000 prize.

The 2011 Helpmann Awards® Ceremony, the 11th presentation of the Awards, will be held on Monday 1 August at 8pm at the Opera Theatre, Sydney Opera House, whilst the After Party will be held at The Argyle in The Rocks.

The Helpmann Awards® will be broadcast live and exclusive on the arts channel STVDIO on channel 132 on FOXTEL and AUSTAR with Red Carpet commencing at 7.30pm and the Ceremony from 8pm.
