Carla's Confessional Cabaret Presents THAT'S LIFE

Directed by award winning director Vince Fusco, THAT'S LIFE invites you to reflect, laugh and shed a tear.

On August 11th, 2016, Carla's mother vanished from her regular life, leaving only a card and a million unanswered questions in her place.

THAT'S LIFE is a stunningly honest and intriguing work of cabaret-theatre that holds the events that followed Carla's mothers disappearance under the magnifying glass. Carla guides the audience through the subsequent months of enquiry and discovery of her family story, with poignancy and agency.

With a deft sense of timing and disarming humour, THAT'S LIFE looks at life, loss and family in an entirely new light.

Carla Mattiazzo has been gracing the stages of the world for the past 27 years. Her craft was cultivated both in Australia and abroad; Adelaide Conservatorium, University of South Australia, T.A.F.T.A Melbourne, The Conservatorium of Doylestown U.S.A and The University of Arts Philadelphia. U.S.A.

2012 saw the unveiling of Carla's Confessional Cabaret, starting with, Therapy: Cabaret Fringe Festival 2012. Her second installment in herConfessional Cabaret series opened in 2013's Cabaret Fringe Festival, Just Because I can! Followed by the sweet childhood cabaret Born In the Spring, Adelaide Fringe Festival 2014. Once again returning to the Cabaret Fringe Festival with a critically acclaimed, cautionary tale, An Au Pair In America.

Carla's Confessional Cabaret series, sat on the shelf in 2015-2016. This was the beginning of her saucy and provocative character cabaret, Carla Anita - CABARET ITALIANO!!! The cabaret show titled, Signorina Scittore premiered in the 2015 Adelaide Fringe. In 2016 at the Adelaide Fringe, La Boheme in April and 2016 Cabaret Fringe Festival saw Carla Anita - CABARET ITALIANO in the hilarious rollercoaster that was EVOLUZIONE.

Carla's Confessional Cabaret exploded into existence, once again in 2017. Directed by the award winning director, Vince Fusco. THAT'S LIFE premiered at the Goodwood Institute Theatre and Studio's in 2017 and has been touring the country ever since.
