Operatic Heat presents Parsons Dance and the East Village Opera Company (EVOC) in Remember Me, a dance/rock opera,on April 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., at The Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts in Sugar Loaf, NY.

Remember Me made its world premiere, live on stage in New York City, in January, 2009, to sold-out audiences at The Joyce Theater.  As a result of its enormous popular success, Remember Me is now set to become a nationally broadcast television special.  YOU can be a part of the live studio audience for this singular moment in contemporary dance history!

Tickets are priced at only $25 each (general admission).  Tickets are on sale now at The Lycian Center Box Office.  Order online at lyciancentre.com or by phone at (845) 469-2287.  For directions to the theater (located approximately 90 minutes North of New York City), please visit The Lycian website or call the Lycian Box Office.

The visually stunning performance will be taped in front of a live audience, for broadcast in August 2009 as a Public Television Pledge Special.  Boston's acclaimed WGBH-TV is the presenting television station.

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a live performance of Remember Me while also experiencing a behind-the-scenes look at the taping of a show for broadcast.  Audience members will be taped as part of the six-camera shoot.  Audience members must sign a release to allow their likeness and image to be seen on television.  The performance may start, stop and repeat scenes, as needed.

Choreographed and directed for the stage by David Parsons, Remember Me is a high-energy mix of contemporary American dance, opera and rock music.  It combines the athleticism of Parsons Dance with the exhilarating live vocal performances of EVOC.  David Parsons, Tyley Ross (lead male vocalist and co-founder of EVOC) and AnnMarie Milazzo (lead female vocalist) created a storyline that connects EVOC's signature operatic arias (from songs recorded on the band's Emmy-nominated albums) with David Parsons' original choreography.  Remember Me is a thoroughly modern re-telling of a classic story of tragic love.  With contemporary dance, aerial dance, live and recorded music, video projections, complex digital lighting and visual effects, Remember Me is the most ambitious production created by Parsons Dance in its 22-year history.  The live stage production of Remember Me will tour North American in the Fall of 2009.

Remember Me was made possible by lead commissioning support from The Ellsworth Kelly Foundation; and Dr. and Mrs. Edward J. Prostic, in honor and memory of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Prostic.

This presentation of Remember Me is a production of Operatic Heat.  Operatic Heat is a partnership of Parsons Dance, Suspension Productions and Jersey Wooly Productions.
