Windmill Theatre's smash hit family production is back for a special pre-Christmas Adelaide season! After a sell out tour of the US and Canada - including four weeks on New York's Broadway - Grug is returning home by popular demand for a strictly limited season.

Based on the much-loved picture book character created by Australian author and illustrator Ted Prior in 1979, Grug is now winning a whole new generation of fans with his loveable ways.

Resembling a small, striped haystack with feet and a nose, Grug began his life as the top of a Burrawang tree that fell to the ground. He is fascinated by the world around him and solves everyday problems creatively and without fuss.

Windmill brings the iconic Australian character to life for young audiences with magical puppetry, inventive staging and dynamic performances from its ensemble cast.
