Connecticut's premier outdoor Shakespeare will present As You Like It, June 13-30, 2013. The show is one of Shakespeare's most beloved and pastoral comedies. Claire Shannon Kelly, currently the Director of Youth Programming for Shakespeare on the Sound and the director of the company's touring educational program, 'Speaking Daggers,' will direct. Kelly previously worked at the Ordway Theater, the Guthrie Theater, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and the George Street Playhouse. She is a resident of New Canaan. (more...)

ZOMBIE Team Attends Independent Film Festival

Bestselling author and American literary giant Joyce Carol Oates, who recently penned her 116th book A WIDOW'S STORY about the death of her husband of 47 years, has had her novella ZOMBIE adapted into a short film. Written by Bill Connington, and directed by Thomas Caruso, the 19 minute film will be screened at the Washington DC Independent Film Festival on Monday, March 7th at 7 pm. The screening will be held at the Gala Theatre, 3333 14th Street NW, Washington DC, 20010. Metro stop: Columbia Heights. Tickets are $10. ZOMBIE will be shown with the films SISSY and AMBER ROSE as part of a program entitled 'Hot Topics - Dirty Little Secrets.' The film ZOMBIE was screened at the sold-out NYC Downtown Short Film Festival: Audience Choice Screenings. The screenings were held at the Duo Multicultural Arts Center at 62 East 4th Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side on February 10th. ZOMBIE is based on the novella by New York Times Bestselling author and American literary giant Joyce Carol Oates. The film stars Bill Connington who has won several awards for his portrayal of the serial killer Quentin P., and was directed by Thomas Caruso, who has also garnered awards for his work on the piece.
