Martin Short, Katie Finneran & More Set for Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2015 Gala

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) has announced that the annual WTF Gala will be held at City Winery in New York City (155 Varick Street) on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 6:30 PM. The evening will feature appearances and performances by Tony and Emmy Award-winner Martin Short, two-time Tony Award-winner and Williamstown veteran Katie Finneran, the acclaimed PigPen Theatre Co., up-and-coming singer/songwriter Benjamin Scheuer (The Lion), and New York favorite Rebecca Naomi Jones, with more performers and participants to be announced.

Gracye Productions' THE ASPHALT CHRISTMAS, the campy parody of all those wretched 40s and 50s Christmas films you watched as a kid, begins previews this Thursday, December 4th at The Lion Theatre on Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, NYC. The comedy opens on Friday, December 5th and continues through December 21st, 2014.

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will make it's Johnstown debut on February 15, 2015. The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies and the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center have completed casting for their benefit presentation of SWEENEY TODD in Concert at Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. The concert proceeds will benefit the Arts Coalition of the Alleghenies, according to Michael Bodolosky, Executive Director.

WAIT UNTIL DARK centers on a missing doll carried into the United States by photographer Sam Hendrix (Linden East) for a woman named Lisa he meets at a Canadian airport. When the doll goes missing in Sam and Susy's apartment, three ruthless thugs show up to try and find it, terrorizing Susy in the process. Many will remember the 1966 Broadway play starring Lee Remick and Robert Duvall, or the 1967 film starting Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin, But seeing it in an intimate 99 seat theater brings spine-tingling chills galore.
MTC's Mandy Greenfield Named New Artistic Director of Williamstown Theatre Festival

Williamstown Theatre Festival has named Mandy Greenfield as its new Artistic Director, the Festival's Board Chair Matt Harris announced today. Greenfield, who is currently Artistic Producer at Manhattan Theatre Club, succeeds Jenny Gersten beginning September 2014. As previously announced, Gersten departs Williamstown Theatre Festival in January 2014 to become Executive Director of Friends of the Highline. Gersten will program the upcoming 2014 season, and Williamstown Theatre Festival Producer Stephen Kaus will oversee the season. Greenfield's tenure as Artistic Director will begin immediately following the 2014 season, the Festival's 60th.
