The production begins performances on Friday, November 7, 2014and opens on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Broadway's Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street, NYC). The Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street, NYC) box office opens today, Friday, September 5 at 10 a.m., for tickets to Bernard Pomerance's Tony Award-winning play THE ELEPHANT MAN. Starring two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola, the production is directed by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis. The Yale Institute for Music Theatre announces the creative teams and casting for the two original book musicals, Afterland, music and lyrics by Benjamin Velez and book and lyrics by Kathryn Hathaway, and Clouds are Pillows for the Moon, music by Tidtaya Sinutoke and book and lyrics by Ty Defoe, which will be developed in an intensive lab setting in New Haven, June 3-15. The Institute culminates with open rehearsal readings of each project, presented as part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, on June 14 and 15.

Williamstown Theatre Festival will take a look at arguably the most contentious social issue of the 21st Century when the Festival presents a reading of "8" on Monday. Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today the cast and creative team for the one-night-only event, which will be presented on the Main Stage on Monday, August 6 in a staged reading benefitting Broadway Impact and American Foundation for Equal Rights. Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today two family programs for the 2012 season: the 25th Anniversary Production of Free Theatre, The Valley of Fear adapted by Steve Lawson from the novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the inaugural year of the Family Friday Workshops, which gives young people aged 8-14 an inside look at the Festival.

New York City-based theater collective Special Sauce Company presents its latest project, an ambitious four-week festival of new work conceptualized as ‘Flash Plays', to take place over the Spring season. The festival, comprised of over three dozen pieces, are all characterized as site-specific, performed in public locations, and no more than five minutes in length. Audiences will be asked to optionally donate with 100% of proceeds going towards Shelterbox, a disaster relief organization currently focusing its efforts on assisting Japan.
