Please read all information carefully for each show, and follow the outlined procedures at the bottom of this posting for requesting an audition time.
General Day of Auditions: Sunday, August 21, 2016
Location: THE WHITE THEATRE – 5801 West 115th Street, Overland Park, KS 66211
TIMES: BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – in 5 Minute Slots per procedures below.
9:00 am to 1:00 pm | Sunset Boulevard Auditions
1:00 pm to 3:30 pm | Fahrenheit 451 Auditions
3:30 pm to 6:00 pm | Lost In Yonkers Auditions
Those wishing to audition for any of the shows above may do so by submitting a request (information below on procedures) for an audition time slot. Please read all the individual show information for the productions you wish to audition for.
A more detailed rehearsal and production schedule will be available at the audition and handed to each person who auditions. Please bring your calendar with known conflicts for the time frame of any of the shows you wish to audition for.
VIDEO SUBMISSION: Those wishing to audition for any show, but unable to attend the Audition times may submit a video audition including all of the outlined criteria below for the particular show they wish to audition for. Video Submissions must be received by the Production Manager no later than 12pm NOON on Sunday, August 21, 2106.
PLEASE NOTE: Auditions for the Summer Musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, will be held in conjunction with Theatre in the Parks General Audition. Information on dates and times and locations will be posted mid-January, 2017.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Those wishing to audition must acknowledge that they understand that conflicts listed at the time of the Audition are subject to change, however, the director reserves the right to place a final date of which conflicts will be accepted. No more than 2 Conflicts for any given production will be accepted. Any additional conflicts will not be accepted, and any conflicts that arise after the cutoff date will be subject to replacement of the role and position in the casting.
The rehearsal schedule is subject to change, but will be based on the following guidelines:
Sunday thru Thursday, approximately 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Technical rehearsals begin the week of a show opening.
The Sunday of a show opening week rehearsal is 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
A Friday night final dress may be added for technically heavy shows.
After reading all information above, for each show, and the audition information listed, please follow the below instructions:
Email Jayson Chandley, Facility and Production Manager to request an appointment time for the particular show you wish to audition for, if you wish to audition for all 3, you can say All three, or individually list the shows. Email To: jaysonc@thejkc.org NO PHONE CALL MESSAGES FOR AUDITION TIMES WILL BE ACCEPTED. In the email please indicate that you have read and understand all audition guidelines and indicate which show(s) you wish to audition for.
Print off the AUDITION CANDIDATE INFORMATION SHEET – click here. Please bring one copy for each show you are wanting to audition form. Additional sheets will be available at time of audition if you’re unable to download/print this form.
An e-mail confirmation will be sent, in order received, with the assigned audition times for the shows requested. Any additional information will also be included in that email. Please allow up to 1 Business Day before response is received.
