BOYS & GIRLS Ages 10 -18 are invited to audition for the roles of Junie B Jones, friends/students, parents/teachers.
10am- dance audition, 10:30am- vocal auditions begin
Auditioners may arrive as early as 9:45am to sign up for a vocal audition slot which will immediately follow the dance audition at 10am. Vocal auditions should take no longer than 5 minutes for each child.
Auditioners should prepare 32 bars of an uptempo musical theater song. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.
Rivertown Theaters strongly believes that our youth performers have the opportunity to continue training and studying the performing arts disciplines while rehearsing for a show.
Rehearsals are generally as follows: Fridays 5:00-8:00
Saturdays 12:30-4:30
Sundays 11:00-2:00
Not all cast members will be called to all rehearsals. Tech week rehearsals may involve weekdays after school.
Performances: October 7-16 (6 shows)
In addition, we will offer school field trip performances on Wednesday, October 12 & Thursday, October 13 at 9:30am and 11:00am. School “excused absence” forms will be provided for our student performers.
All auditioners will be notified about casting via email within 48 hours of auditions. Auditions, rehearsals and performances at Rivertown Theaters, 325 Minor St, Kenner 70062.
