2) a brief song; OR

3) a very brief monologue and a very brief song.

If singing, bring sheet music; accompanist provided.
Total audition time should not to exceed TWO minutes.

Herod Antipas
Tetrarch of Judaea. He is the husband of Herodias and the stepfather of Salome. He is a powerful man, defined by his contradictions, able to decide which of his subjects will live and which will die, and yet a slave to his own appetites. He displays a complicated mix of cruelty, compassion, fear, and guilt.

Herodias
Wife of Herod Antipas. She is the proud, hard queen of Judaea, both envious and proud of her daughter
