The Ice Theatre of New York, the nation's premier ice dancing ensemble, inaugurates its 2009-2010 anniversary season by hosting the company's annual Benefit Gala and Performance on Monday, October 26th, at Chelsea Pier's SKY RINK.

The day-long event was a free celebration of reading featuring live entertainment for children and families, presented by Target.

A list of New York's top-20 'Favorite Stories to Read-Aloud' was specially selected this year by children's librarians from the three public library systems of New York City: Brooklyn Public Library, The New York Public Library and Queens Library. Celebrities from film, TV and Broadway will read the 20 books on the list.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its 10th Anniversary season with Hairspray film star NIKKI BLONSKY from September 23 to October 4. The Long Island native returns to her home city for her nightclub debut 'Coming Home,' which features songs from Broadway, the Great American Songbook and pop classics. Highlights will include the Bonnie Raitt favorite 'Something To Talk About,' the Frank Wildhorn hit 'Big Time' and selections from Hairspray. Musical Director Patti Dunham will conduct the band. Nikki will be dressed by IGIGI. All shows take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Philip Seymour Hoffman will direct the European premiere of 'RIFLEMIND', a new play by Sydney Theatre Company Co Artistic Director Andrew Upton. 'RIFLEMIND' will open at the Trafalgar Studios in the hubbub of London's West End on Thursday 18 September, following previews from 15 September.
