Douglas Sills, Maria Tucci, Lead FLIGHT Reading May 17

Alchemy Theatre Company of Manhattan (Robert Saxner, Producing Artistic Director), Fran Kirmser, and Andrew Frank are pleased to present, an industry reading of, FLIGHT a new play by Michel Wallerstein starring Douglas Sills, Maria Tucci, Jennifer Dundas, and Zuleyma Guevara It is directed by James B. Nicola, with casting by Laura Stanczyk.

American Idol's James Durbin Surprises Santa Cruz

In a surprising turn of events, rocker James Durbin returns to Santa Cruz today for a special homecoming celebration. 'Durbin Day' will include a visit with Durbin's former 'Kids on Broadway' theater group, a procession with the Santa Cruz High School marching band, and a stop at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk where Durbin joins old friends The White Album Ensemble for three songs on the Boardwalk's beach bandstand.

BECCA MCCOY In The Cabaret 'The Pearl In The Hogwaller'

'THE PEARL IN THE HOGWALLER,' a new cabaret featuring popular local performer Becca McCoy, announces two performances at the New American Theater Center, Friday, May 13th and Saturday, May 14th at 8pm. The sixty-minute show features an eclectic array of music, from Stephen Sondheim to CARRIE: THE MUSICAL, Indigo Girls to PIPPIN, all sung in Becca's inimitable style.

Brodsky Elected Chairman of Metropolitan Museum Board of Trustees

The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today the election of business and civic leader Daniel Brodsky, a Trustee of the institution since 2001, as its next Chairman of the Board. Mr. Brodsky will officially assume the chairmanship on September 13, when James R. Houghton retires from the post after 13 years to become a Trustee Emeritus.

Lady Gaga, Jordin Sparks to Perform on AMERICAN IDOL, 5/12-13

Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart are this season's AMERICAN IDOL Top 4 finalists. Jacob Lusk was eliminated on tonight's show after he received the fewest of America's 60 million votes. On Wednesday's performance show, the Top 5 performed two songs from 'now and then,' and Lusk, 23, from Compton, CA, sang 'No Air' and 'Love Hurts.' Tonight's episode also featured performances by IDOL judge and global superstar Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull, as well as country music sensation Lady Antebellum.

The steamy, sexy and sultry Two Boys in Bed on a Cold Winter's Night comes to Rising Action Theatre in an all new production. James Edwin Parker's play has been critically acclaimed in the US and on the International stage. Set in New York City in 1987, this play explores the sexual etiquette of one-night stands and is peppered with poignant, humorous and sly observations as it's two boys yearn for a carefree time of days gone by.
