BWW Recap: Solitude Isn't the Answer for Supergirl

On this week's episode of SUPERGIRL, Kara tried to deal with a nasty alien on her own without the help of the DEO. Laura Vandervoort guest starred as Indigo, a cyber villian who wreaked havoc on National City with a massive computer hacking. Kara learned the hard way that she needs the help of her friends…and some relationships fell apart while others fell together.

Children's Playhouse of Maryland to Present JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. opens its spring season with the musical "James and the Giant Peach, Jr." Performances will be given on weekends March 5 through March 20 in the Lecture Hall of the Administration Building at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.  The ensemble cast includes 25 student actors from Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard counties.  Tickets are $10 each with special group rates available. The Old Globe and the San Diego Public Library were selected last year to co-host the only stop in California for FIRST FOLIO! Country Music Singer Sonny James Dies at 87

Variety.com reports that Sonny James, who ruled the country music charts for almost 20 years, died from natural causes Monday night in Nashville. He was 87.

BWW Review: Try Getting Over this Ogre of a Show at CCTC's SHREK

The Cape Cod Theatre Company, home of the Harwich Junior Theatre, brings a stunning production of Shrek: The Musical to a Cape Cod stage and does an absolutely fine job of making sure audiences will see all the wonder to be found in this show. I am like a broken record when it comes to my praise of this group, but even at the risk of being redundant and sounding like a lovesick theater child will I once again say that CCTC has impressed me from the very beginning and continues to do so.

James Patterson, Juan Felipe Herrera to Be Honored at 36th Annual Los Angeles Times Book Prizes

Today, the Los Angeles Times announced this year's Book Prizes honorees and finalists in 10 categories. Novelist James Patterson will be honored with the Innovator's Award and United States Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera will receive the 2015 Robert Kirsch Award for lifetime achievement. The awards will be presented April 9th, during the 21st Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, at the University of Southern California's Bovard Auditorium.
