James Crafford One-Acts to Play American Theater of Actors This February

A set of one-act parables from an award-winning director, a celebrated author, at one of the oldest independent theaters in NY - LIFE & DEATH, JAMES CRAFFORD's THE DEAD OLD LADY FROM NEW JERSEY and THE KILLING OF THE SNOW FOX - will run February 1 - 12, 2017 at American Theater of Actors, 314 W 54th St, NYC.

JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH to Roll Into A.R.T. This December

Following previous season's sold-out holiday hits, The Snow Queen, Hansel and Gretel, The Light Princess, and The Pirate Princess, the A.R.T. Institute presents James and the Giant Peach, adapted for the stage by David Wood from the book by Roald Dahl, directed by A.R.T. Institute alumnus Dmitry Troyanovsky, featuring actors from the A.R.T. Institute Class of 2017. 

2016 Sydney Theatre Award Nominations Announced

Nominations were announced today for the Sydney Theatre Awards for 2016, which will be presented at a gala ceremony on Monday 23 January 2017 at 6pm at the York Theatre, Seymour Centre, a much larger venue than previous years due to the burgeoning popularity of the ceremony.

Lyric Theatre Awarded NEA Grant for JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH

The National Endowment for the Arts on Tuesday awarded a grant to Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma to assist with educational programming for its spring production of JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH. The grant was one of four issued to Oklahoma-based arts organizations.

Presented as a play with music, this dynamic and compelling stage version is highly theatrical. Actors narrate at various times, play multiple characters, sing and contribute to the soundscape for the production in the style of the Royal Shakespeare Company's landmark production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby. CHARLES DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL opens in Ventura on Today, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. followed by an after-party at Rhumb Line Restaurant. Low-priced previews are December 7-9. The show runs Wednesdays through Sundays through December 24.
