On Wednesday, December 14, A Christmas Story, The Musical! celebrated its opening night at Chicago's legendary Chicago Theatre with producer Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie in the original 1983 film, there to cheer the company on. Check out photos from opening night below!

Today, in a piece for the New York Times, producer Jerry Goehring said that the show has received 'a lot of interest' to play Broadway next year, citing what he described as 'active discussions' to place A CHRISTMAS STORY in a Broadway house.

Tony Award winner John Rando (Urinetown, The Wedding Singer) will direct the production with Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow, Follies, An Evening With Hugh Jackman) choreographing. Broadway favorite Karen Mason (Wonderland, Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard) will play school teacher Miss Shields in an ensemble that includes John Francis Babbo, Jonathan Burke, Andrew Cristi, Sally Elting, Nick Gaswirth, Nicholas Gonzales, Casey Gorab, Drea Gordon, Leslie Henstock, Carl Kimbrough, Sean Mcknight, Mara Newbery, Lyn Philistine, Charlie Plummer, Alex Puette, Johnny Rabe, Kayla Rea, Emily Rudolph, Jake Bennett Siegfried, Marguerite Willbanks, George Andrew Wolff, Kirsten Wyatt and Adam Pelty (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Steel Pier) will play Santa.

ALKY is a real teen drinking drama workshopped in Christian schools in the 80s in Texas and we perform it with twistedly funny adults who are 'under the influence'. Come see Ms. O'Hara and the Marumsco Valley Players perform Jerome McDonough's hard-hitting teen drama, ALKY, while they try to hold their liquor.

Broadway Rhythm and Booze, a cabaret series created as a platform to highlight the soulful talents of the Broadway community, will take place on Monday, August 29th at Tillman's Bar & Lounge, 165 West 26th Street (between 6th and 7th avenue), doors open at 7pm, performance begins at 8pm.
