According to published reports, Nick Jonas, who will soon return to Broadway in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, has joined the long list of theatre stars who will guest star on NBC's upcoming SMASH series.

Wesley Taylor (Rock of Ages, The Addams Family, Tales of the City) is rumored to play a recurring role in the Broadway-centric NBC mid-season replacement, SMASH, exec. produced by Steven Spielberg, according to a post on Facebook. Also rumored to play a recurring role is Savannah Wise (Ragtime, Rock of Ages). According to varied sources, Taylor and Wise are rumored to play dancers in the chorus who become friends with Katharine McPhee's character.

The soundtrack to the highly anticipated NBC drama series SMASH on Columbia Records will include an original song by SMASH leading lady and American Idol alum Katharine McPhee titled, 'Let Me Be Your Star'. The duet features SMASH co-star Megan Hilty.

Theatre fans opened their hearts and wallets Sunday at the 25th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, propelling the unrivaled outdoor event to raise an astonishing $547,658 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Last night, September 12, FOLLIES opened on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre. Performances began on Sunday, August 7th for James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's FOLLIES, directed by Eric Schaeffer, with choreography by Warren Carlyle and music direction by James Moore. With a 28-piece orchestra, FOLLIES features a cast of 41 and stars two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters as Sally Durant Plummer, four-time Tony Award nominee Jan Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, two-time Tony Award nominee Danny Burstein as Buddy Plummer, three-time Emmy Award nominee Ron Raines as Benjamin Stone and Olivier Award winner Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion. They post a showstopping number on YouTube. When it's a viral hit, a producer (Anjelica Huston) who's looking to recapture success long past decides to produce the musical. There are two choices to play Marilyn: Karen (Katharine McPhee), a talented young newcomer, and Ivy (Megan Hilty), a theater veteran. Brian d'Arcy James has also been cast as Debra Messing's character's husband. Chase will play Stephen, a character who according to Deadline.com 'has a history with Messing's character.' SMASH is slated for a February premiere on NBC. '

Production is underway on 'Pixie Hollow Games,' an all-new, animated special to premiere this fall on Disney Channel. Megan Hilty stars as Rosetta.
